Upload your video

step 1

One video or audio file at a time. Max size: 150 MB · Max duration: 15 minutes.

For faster uploads and processing, try uploading a video exported at the lowest practical resolution and video quality. Keep the audio clear and high quality for accurate captions.

Enter your purchased key to check remaining minutes.

Keep your key private — anyone with it can spend its balance. Audio duration is billed to the next second per successful file. Failed jobs restore reserved credits. No monthly expiry.

Unicode FM Abhaya
FM Abhaya text looks like Latin letters unless the original FM Abhaya font is installed — that is expected. Use the Unicode files for modern players and the FM Abhaya files only in older Sinhala subtitle software.

What you get

Six ready-to-use subtitle files plus a zip, from one upload.

Unicode SRT · VTT · TXTUnicode subtitles. Use SRT for CapCut Desktop/Web and Adobe Premiere; editor/version support varies.
FM Abhaya SRT · VTT · TXTFor older Sinhala subtitle software that still expects FM Abhaya.
ZIP All six files + READMEOne click, everything bundled with a note on which set to use.

How it works

1Upload your video or audio file — MP4 is the safest bet if you are not sure.
2Hang on a couple of minutes. Each stage lights up as it finishes, so you always know where it is.
3Download your subtitles and drop them straight into your editor, player or upload form.
FAQ
Do I need an account or a technical setup?

No account needed. Purchase a minutes package from the administrator, enter your activation key, then upload a file. Buy the minutes you need; unused credit stays on your key. Payment is confirmed manually before your key is issued.

What happens to my video?

It is used only to produce your captions and is deleted from our server as soon as they are ready. We do not keep a copy, and we do not use your files for anything else.

What files can I upload?

MP4, MOV, MKV, WEBM, AVI and audio-only MP3, WAV, M4A, AAC, OGG — up to 150 MB per file. Only the sound matters for subtitles.

Unicode or FM Abhaya — which one do I need?

Use Unicode for VLC, YouTube, Premiere, CapCut and subtitle editors. Use FM Abhaya only in older Sinhala subtitle software that expects that encoding.

How long does it take?

Roughly a couple of minutes for a short clip and longer for a long video. Keep this tab open while it works — you will see each stage as it finishes.

Something went wrong with my file

Very long files, silent files and unusual formats can fail. Try a different export (MP4 is safest) or a shorter clip, then try again.

Supported editors: CapCut & Adobe Premiere

Download the Unicode SRT file from AutocaptionsLK, import it into your editor, then choose a Sinhala-compatible font and style your captions.

CapCut Desktop & Web

Import SRT using the editor’s captions controls. CapCut Mobile does not currently support direct SRT import, according to CapCut’s help documentation; import on Desktop/Web first and use a supported project-sync workflow if available.

Adobe Premiere Pro

Import the SRT as media, then drag it from the Project panel into your sequence to create a caption track.

Other editors with UTF-8 SRT import may also work. Feature availability varies by platform and version. SRT carries text and timing—not animated styles or fonts. Review Sinhala rendering and timing after import. These are file-format workflows, not built-in integrations or endorsements; third-party apps may require their own subscriptions.

Sinhala captions: frequently asked questions

How do I generate Sinhala captions?

Choose a minute package, arrange payment through WhatsApp, then enter your activation key. Upload your video or audio, generate captions, review the text and download your subtitles.

Which subtitle formats can I download?

Download SRT, VTT and TXT output in Unicode and FM Abhaya variants. Unicode is suitable for modern Sinhala text workflows; use FM Abhaya only when your editor requires it.

How much does Sinhala caption generation cost?

Prepaid packages start at LKR 699 for 5 minutes. The popular 10-minute package is LKR 1,299; 15 minutes is LKR 1,899, 20 minutes is LKR 2,499 and 30 minutes is LKR 3,299. These are one-time packages, not monthly subscriptions.

What are the upload limits?

Upload one file at a time, up to 150 MB and 15 minutes. A lower-resolution video export can reduce upload and processing time. Keep the audio clear.

Are automatic captions always accurate?

No. Background noise, accents and unclear speech can affect accuracy. Review names, punctuation and timing before publishing.

What happens if processing fails?

Reserved minutes are restored after a failed job. This is credit restoration, not a cash refund. Package purchases are non-refundable except where required by applicable law.
